The
CNU Florida Annual Statewide Meeting and All Workshops
which was to be held on February 5-6, 2009
in St. Petersburg, Florida, has been
postponed

The impact of the current economy, equally affecting local governments and the private sector, impacted registrations to the point where proceeding with the event would have not resulted in the truly meaningful participation of our members, peers, clients, and friends that we strive for.

The Annual Meeting is not being cancelled, it is being re-scheduled for the upcoming autumn/winter season.

Both pre-conference workshops on Feb. 3-4 are also being rescheduled.

We will take this time to re-assess the current situation, and once again to join efforts with other organizations that share our principles and goals, to bring you an outstanding and complete program and value, and an opportunity to share your work with others.

I want to thank those of who registered, sponsored, or volunteered in any way to this event, and hope you will continue to contribute with the local Chapter and assist us in the organization of the re-scheduled meeting.

We will be sending information shortly regarding new dates, and additional information will be available shortly at www.cnuflorida.org. For any questions or comments, please contact me at marcela@marcelacamblor.com, or Diane Hodel at dhodel@tcrpc.org

Tel: (772) 221-4060

In the meantime, I urge you to check out and register for:
CNU 17: Experiencing the New Urbanism: The Convenient Remedy.
This is our main event, and our best opportunity to guide and influence all decision makers!

Hope to see you all at our chapter gathering in Denver, Colorado, June 10-13, 2009.

Sincerely,

Marcela Camblor

Chair, CNU Florida
